By passion I am a KATHAK classical dancer with over 23 years of learning and practice. Completed Visharad from Bhatkhande University, Lucknow and have performed in multiple stage shows. Currently I take dance classes for kids and adults in GM Palya, CV Raman Nagar and look forward to starting my next batch soon. As a part of training, I also prepare and encourage students to take up exams that happen every year and my school is affiliated to Rabindra Bharati University. By profession I am an engineer and pursued MBA; and I work as an AVP in one of the renowned reinsurance companies in Bangalore.
Also I have an inclination towards choreography. So, I can also help with choreography on particular songs (bollywood/semi classical/classical) on need basis.

"My daughter is 7 years old turning eight soon, and has been attending classes with Amrita maam since she turned 6...in last couple years I have seen witnessed my daughter's journey or growth as a dancer. She is so interested in dancing now that she tries to choreograph some common songs as well. This would not have been possible without Amrita maams guidance, diligence and hard work. Maamis very passionate about dance and takes special care of each kid and gives them the right platform to perform at the right time. Amrita maam deals with the kids in a very friendly way, encourages them to practice and get better and kids love her. "

"My Daughter has been learning dance from Amrita for almost a year now.. Amrita teaches the dance in a fun stress free way that the kids look forward to her dance class every Saturday eagerly. My daughter loves to dance and with Amrita she is learning it with discipline and grace. Would recommend Amrita strongly to anyone who wants to learn it both seriously or as a hobby. My daughter’s goal now is to be a professional kathak dancer. "
