a) Start speaking. Except for your sabziwala (vegetable vendor) and grocer, speak in English with just everyone around you. b) Watch RT News in English or BBC in English, watch British TV programmes. This will ensure that your accent is neutral and you don't get influenced by unwanted accents. c)... ...more

a) Start speaking. Except for your sabziwala (vegetable vendor) and grocer, speak in English with just everyone around you. 

b) Watch RT News in English or BBC in English, watch British TV programmes. This will ensure that your accent is neutral and you don't get influenced by unwanted accents.

c) If you're into music, then listen to English (British) songs (of singers like Ronan Keating, Westlife, BoyZone, Take That) and try to imitate them while singing. This will not only clear your pronunciation, but it will also boost your confidence while removing your Indian regional accent. 

d) Try your best to avoid using English words while speaking in your mother-tongue or your regional language and vice-versa. Using words of other languages while speaking any language (for example, saying "No Rey"... or "No daa" while speaking in English, will change your English Tone into a Hindi or a Tamil Tone.) 

e) Read a lot. Read anything. But read. It improves your vocabulary and grammar.
