A day in Nature with Charcoal Medium,
Charcoal drawing workshop
Sunday 20th January 2013
At Cubbon Park campus
Restrictions: Above 12yrs and no upper age limit
Workshop fee: 1,300/- Includes all materials and lunch
Fees include: one high quality paper, charcoal crayon, compressed charcoal, plastic eraser, charcoal pencil, pencil, & cloth.
Maximum 20 students.
The tutors will be demonstrating techniques and taking you step by step through this charcoal picture, by doing a drawing at the same time. The tutor will be working with each student on a individual basis, problem solving with you and ensuring you are completing each step successfully.
Schedule for the day. The times are approximate.
10:30am -Introduction of all the participants and demonstration by the tutor, also prepare your own charcoal and use them.
11:15am - Morning tea
11:30am - Starting Charcoal drawing practice session by students
1:00pm - Lunch
1:30 - Continuing charcoal background
3:00pm - Afternoon tea
3:15pm - Completing charcoal picture with detail
4pm - sign drawing and discussion
These charcoal workshops are handled by practicing artists, step by step, so they are fantastic for those students who don't feel confident and also may of not had any previous art experience. No natural talent is required.
You will take a charcoal picture home that you can be proud of.

You don’t have to get anything.
Small classes so you get heaps of individual attention. The classes are fun and informal, with lots of encouragement and support from ourselves and the other students.
