Hello Pritam,
As per my knowledge to solve your objective you need to do
1. Develop the Hybrid framework (Combination of Data driven and Keyword Driven)
2. You can add Object repository and Data repository for the same
3. You can define different keywords for different action and add more as and when needed.

5. Tenstng give you inbuilt support for reporting
6. If there is no inbuilt reporting you have to use you can customise your reports by adding result in excels
or text file etc.
7. For validation purpose assertions are there which can be used.
8. You can maintain your test cases or test suits in the tools like HPQC . If it is not available simple excel aslo
can do .

This is how you can solve there may be other ways too. «less

Hi. I know your question is addressing the automation side, however, I would like to make a small suggestion in this regard. Of course automation testing is very popular and significant, but with your experience, you could try venturing into performance testing. The market is badly in need of performance testers (genuine ones).

Simple example: If you have a client who is working on ORACLE Apps like Oracle EBS, Peoplesoft or Oracle Fusion etc and you need to consult him about which tool they must use to automating oracle apps for maximum efficiency then you can suggest Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS) which is special and expert automation tool from Oracle for automating any oracle apps (it can automate other web applications as well) instead of going with some other tool like Selenium, QTP etc .
Using OATS we can quickly automate oracle complex business flows , it also supports load testing and webservice testing.

In short, You should have knowledge on almost all popular automation tools currently in market so that you can present and study which says , why i should use and what i should use. «less

Right now selenium is required in most companies being open source and companies dont have to spend a lot on the QTP.. So go for selenium.. the learning curve is more but you will find more opportunities.

Hi Anees. I can't understand your question properly.
Do you want to mean "Automation using Java"? If it is then my answer is yes, you can use Selenium.
Or if your question for any automation testing tool which can automate java based application then you can use QTP.
