A personal trainer is a qualified individual who will assist you in the starting phase with the form and technique of the programmed exercises and program your workouts (mesocycle) in such a way that you achieve an optimal result. You will learn from decades of experience he/she gathered on the gym floor, online or in any sports field, hundreds of hours of a study done by that trainer and personal traits as well. It is a much better investment than most other non-health-related investment people do nowadays.
