I don't think they are leadng the technology though, however they can adapt very well and very fast. Trust yourself and capabilities. .Net will never go. You need to understand that ASP.Net is a single umbrella which holds two frameworks : ASP.Net Web Forms and ASP.Net MVC. I would suggest you to upgrade your knowledge to MVC since it has more market value as of today.
